St. Benedict Homeless Shelter

The shelter will be open for five months this winter, from November 1, 2007 through April 1, 2008. We need your help and the help of your faith community to care for our homeless brothers and sisters this year. We need to receive volunteer registration by September 23, Sign Up Sunday.

Two kinds of training are required including shelter and safe environment sessions, (only those who serve as companions) will be able to get those scheduled during the month of October. There are plenty of options on the diocesan web site for sessions of safe environment training. Updates of shelter training and orientation sessions will be provided by the parish staff.
